Where the locals go to satisfy their appetite!
Located along route 24 in Okinawa City’s Noborikawa district, Pure Shokudo is a restaurant run by a business that supports the employment of people with disabilities, and has been satisfying the appetites of locals since it opened in April 2011. The large white building has a spacious parking lot, and you'll find that inside is exceptionally clean with plenty of table and tatami seats to sit many people. During lunchtime, the place becomes bustling with customers who seek to fill their stomach with large portioned meals.
The most popular items on the menu are the B-Lunch (650 yen) and C-Lunch (550 yen) meals. The plates come covered with food including Hamburg (Salisbury steak), pork cutlet, spaghetti, and sunny-side-up eggs. Other items on the menu include Milan-style chicken cutlet, teriyaki chicken, and the “Yoritori Set” (1,000 yen) that comes with 1.1 kg of chicken karaage. All meals come in large portions and families with growing kids often make Pure their choice when dining out. They say the large portions are a result of listening to customer opinions and simply aiming to satisfy with lots of food.
If you’re in need of a hearty lunch to get you through the rest of the day, look no further than Pure Shokudo! Their meal sets also come with a drink. You can also order food to-go!
